Bomfunk MC^S one of the most famous Finnish bands. They are very popular in Finland And now subdued all the European charts by their Freestyler single from their first album In Stereo . Finland is about to be captured by Bomfunk MC^S-mania But their popularity goes beyond Finnish boundaries. 90,000 of their Freestyler have already been sold in the neighboring Sweden, which often goes as an elder brother for the Finns. In its native country Bomfunk MC^S surpassed all the music bands.

Bomfunk MC^S are : Raymond Ebanks and DJ Fismo, they come out with their band and break dancers. Hip-hop is Ebanlk s sphere and Gismo is fond of fank. So it wasn t surprise that it was Bomkunk MC^S who startd DMC s concert in Helsinki in 1998. Ebanks was born in London but was brought up in Finnland. Within the last ten years h became the steadfast promoter of hip-hop in his native country. Gismo ( real name is Ismo Lappalainen) made his first steps as techno DJ when he was 15. Since that time his interests shifted to the soul, fank and hip-hop music. When we met 3 years ago, - remembers Ebanks we knew that we have much in common, he was fank fan and I was crazy about old time RAP.

All these was mixed in Freestyler . It raised them to the tops of the Scandinavian and Holland charts. With the hot rotation on the radio stations and the growth of their sold records Bomfunk MC^S will be more than a local star. Their energetic show has already been shown in Sweden, Norway and Estonia, their hypnotic video has already been included into hot MTV rotation , the same about German TV channel VIVA! Swiss ZTV and Holland TMF. In April May their success was confirmed by promo-tour about Holland, Belgium and Germany. Their second clip B Boys Fly Girls has already began being rotating on the music channels.

Suzy Quatro was born in Detroit but made her career in England. She has memorable voice, blue eyes, gray hair and any bass-guitar is big for her. Hard-buggy and Rock-n-Roll with feministic declination are represented in her songs. In 1977 she married Cris Norman, they worked in one and the same firm Rack Records and were produced by Chinn and Cheepman. That made her to change her style, it turned to be Smokie #2 with the famine vocalist. Suddenly they lost a great number of their fans and became forgotten, so they worked from time to time. Suzy has another husband now and she is going better. Now they say that Suzy and Norman have never been married, but people are not interested in Suzy s marriages.

Zhasmin - was born in Derbent in musician s family. Her mother was a conductor and her father ballet master. They dreamed to make their children to become musicians and sent Zhasmin's brother who was 2 years elder to the music school. In some time he gave up music. Being disappointed , their parents decided: No more music the nature rests when concerning musicians children. They didn t want to take rescue and gave Zhasmin free hand. But her talant couldn t be concealed, it was revealed during KVN between medical college and local musical school. Its art director gave Zhasmin all the musical sets of the team. That was the first time when Zhasmin stepped the stage.She has never dreamed to become a singer , but to deal with English language.

Her mother s death was a great stroke that had changed her life completely.

The starting point of Zhasmin s creative work was an interesting incident. When being in Moscow Zhasmin s friend offered her o go to Paris and to see the leading French Houses Fashion Show. From all the various materials and forms she was impressed by leather models from Jean Claude Jitrois. The next day 2 friends decided to visit specialized Jitrois shop, though they didn t have enough money . After getting in they couldn t help but try something on, so Zhasmin did. She looked wonderful in leather trousers and waistcoat. At this very moment couturier noticed her and offered to make a photo session. Zhasmin could hardly believe that it was not just a compliment but a business proposal. So they made the sample, exchanged the coordinates and parted. Zhasmin came back to Moscow and within some time she was invited to take photos for Jitrois saloon s advertising campaign in Russia.

Now Zhasmin has 3 clips. For her Long-Lasting Days single she was awarded 3, so-called national prizes : Stopudovy Hit , Zolotoi gramofon and Pesnya Goda 2000 . Her first album Long-Lusting Days came out on October the 12.

Valeria was born in Atkarsk city in Saratovskaya oblast. She is married and has 3 children : Anna, Artem, Arseny. Her parents are academic musicians. Valwria graduated from Saratov music school, poano. In 1985 she arrived in Moscow and entered music academy named after Gnessins, the class of stage vocal, finished in 1990. Valeria was taught the stage skills by merit artist of Russia , professor Iosif Kobzon and merit artist of Russia Gelena Velikanova.

In 1989 Valeria s life completely changed : she met a producer Aleksandr Shulgin who influenced all her last creative activity he became her producer, author and composer of her songs. In 1993 he acquired a new status : Aleksandr became Valeria s husband. Being fascinated he offered her a contract to make English album The Taiga Symphony with Vitali Bondarchuk s music and Richard Nails poems. In 1990, January Valeria started writing a new album in London. Munich and Moscow s record studios. Her album contained 10 songs. The musicians from Pink Floyd , Dire Straits , Pet Shop Boys and Moscow Symphonic Orchestra run by Pavel Kogan contributed very much. In 1992 the album was released. Besides Russia The Taiga Symphony was sold in a few European countries. Alongside with the English album Valeria makes Russian romances album. Her new album The Eyes of the Colour of the Sky is planned to come out in 2001, September.

Recently, in the Pirite Clouster monastery (the main historical monument of Estonia , is the nun s monastery of Holly Brigita, was found in the XIV century) , in the suburbs of Tallinn Valeria s Bultic concert was performed. It took 3 months to co-ordinate the things with the Estonian authorities to hold the concert and fix the huge stage. It was held greatly.

Nikolai Noskov is the first vocalist of Gorky Park group. Now he sings separately. Nikolai was born in January 12, 1956. Being 14 he was admitted as the best singer of the north-west region. He graduated from the music school , accordion class. Nikolai had been studying classical opera singing skills for a year and had been getting ready to enter Leningrad Conservatory but preferred rock than classic.

From 181 Nikolai Worked with Moscow group and Singing Hearts troupe. From 1984 performed with Araks and collaborated with David Tuhmanov, Aleksandr Zatsepin and Eduard Artemiev. In 1987 Noskov sounded the songs for An Island of Dead Ship film. Then he was the leader and vocalist of Gorki Park from 1987 to summer ,1288 they went to USA and made their first album named Gorki Park in 1989. In 1989 Noskov made a duet with John Bon Jovy and in 1990 with Claus Maine ("Scorpions ). At the same year he left Gorki Park and started his solo career in 1993. He joined Nikolai music band. His first solo album was Mother Russia made in Germany. At home he made 2 albums: Blazh and Paranoya . Nikolai Noskov completely changed his style and one can hear dancing rhythms and romances (he calls them ballads) in his album.

His new album I Breath with the Silence was made in 2000 being contributed by Musica Viva orchestra ruled by Aleksandr Lavrov. Nikolai Noskov writes the music himself , and the words are written by Moscow poets Igor Rusenkov and Aleksei Chulanski.

Laima Vaikule - works in the style of European show-variety . Performs not only as a singer but choreograph-director, dancer, actress. Dancers from England and music band from Germany participate in her shows. Her constant authors are composers R. Pauls and I. Krutoi, poets I. Resnik, V. Pelenyagre, V. Doraztsev.

Laima was born in Riga in 1954. Graduated from State Theatrical Arts Institute (actor and direcror s faculty). She confesses that she is popular due to her creative collaboration with Raimond Pauls. She became his favorite singer and writes the songs especially for her. In 1986 was her concert debut with Pauls song. Since that time she repeatedly participated in international competitions and festivals.

In 1986 Laima made an album Tango on GPR. From 1986 performed with the solo programs : I Pray for You , I Left for Piccalilli . She has been on tour about Germany, Australia, Canada, Japan and USA. In 1992 she starred in In Russian Style film. Her best songs were written by R. Pauls and I. Resnik .
