Annually the «Zhas Kanat» national contest of young performers is held in Almaty in spring season. It is sometimes called as the «Voice of Asia» International festival' junior. When the «Voice of Asia» became as globally known, its founders understood that there is necessity to search new stars not only in foreign states. It's necessary to discover virgin stars in Kazakhstan, to adjust new generation of personalities of talent, composers, songwriters, arrangers, that will lead towards our music on worthy professional level. There is an abundance of young gifted artists, for which «Zhas Kanat» - is the only and best way to announce about themselves, vividly to show their talents.
	All willing individuals are able to take part into the competition, regardless of nationality, background, occupation and etc. There are performances of songs on various music categories and directions here. The only category choice is talent and performance qualities, the only limit is an age time (entrants must not older than 30 age).
«Zhas Kanat» has been held since 1992. Approximately a thousand entry forms were being submitted for the previous years from many cities and far little towns. Also participants from neighboring Kyrgyzstan took part in the competition. The first contest winners' career advantage became an inspiring example for the next generations of virgin artists but everybody, who occupied places among audience yesterday, today they appear on the stage.
	«Zhas Kanat» became as a whole music movement: every year competitions are like the «Zhas Kanat» contest are taken place in many cities of Kazakhstan, and winners of these contests stage often in this national event. «Zhas Kanat» promoted not one generation of virgin musicians, became as a beacon light for many current Kazakhstan pop stars. Among laureates and winners of the contest are such as popular performers as Medeu Arynbayev and Erlan Kokeev of «ABK» trio band, «Urker» band, Bakhyt Shadaeva, Nurlan Abdullin, «Ar-club» band, «Yashlyk» band, Maira Dauletbakova, Bakhytzhan Khadzhimukhanov, Bauyrzhan Isaev, Kurmash Makhanov, Angelina Aleksandrova, Peter Sharipov, Jhanna Sattarova, «Ayan» band and etc.
«Zhas Kanat» is a great teacher for virgin artists (beginners). During yet preparatory period high music professionals give consultations and advises singers: what repertoire is better to get, what's better to sing a song, how to arrange it, where to record. If a performer is selected to appear at the contest, then well famous designers, hairdressers begin to look after with him (her), because it is very important to assist artists to choose for themselves a scene image and personal style. What looks well when moving on the stage, knowing perfectly that you are focused by audience and TV-cameras - all that «Zhas Kanat» teaches also. The contest is held in one of prestigious venue in the Kazakhstan is the Republic Palace. Up-to-date sound, light and TV equipment operate during the contest venue. All contest' performances are televised by the leading TV channel «Khabar». A lot of national TV and radio companies, newspapers and journals cover the contest activities. In various years appraisal board included well known artists such as: Roza Baklanova, Bibigul Tulegenova, Yermek Serkebaev, Roza Rymbaeyva, Murat Nazyrov, Malpal Zhunusova, Batyrkhan Shukenov («A-studio» band), Nagima Yeskalieva, Yerkesh Shakeyev, Kenes Duisekeyev and many others. Top music industry professionals judge attentively entrants and then invite them to sing together with various music groups and offer to deal a contract with «Kazakhconcert» music management
	Artists, had appeared in “Zhas Kanat” successfully, debuted of Kazakhstan named proudly in the various international festivals and competitions like that: Voice of Asia, Slavyansky Basaar (Russia), Golden Shlager festival (Belarus), Pamukkale (Turkey), Melodia Prutta (Moldova-Rumania). But first of all each virgin performer of the national contest dreams to joint with the “Voice of Asia” International festival. «Zhas Kanat» became often as unofficial kick-off and a primary step forward for musicians before their appearance on the Medeu venue stage.
At the first years «Zhas Kanat»' existence not only Kazakhstan pop stars had being invited as guests but pop mega stars from Russia had being done (Angelica Varum, Sergey Krylov, Aziza, «A-studio» band, Kai Metov, «Na-Na» band, «Yalla» band, «Musicola» duet, Igor Nicolaeyv and etc). But self contestants ousted them from the stage gradually: becoming as «Zhas Kanat» laureates, they attended at the contest as guests consequently.
	The contest have had many great traditions, one of them - is very symbolic: before their performances overall entrants plant virgin trees on the «Zhas Kanat» alley. The years have passed, trees grow and get stronger, our artists' quality is developed and their creative potentials are promoted on higher level. May be, some day the contest' alley will be the greenest place of Almaty city. Actually today «Zhas Kanat» off-springs are announced and considered as future Kazakhstan art, just they are trusted to create a new music at the 21st century.

By the way, firstly «Aktis System Asia» established an unordinary award for the best contestant of the year. Madina Sadvakasova, as an owner of the 1 prize, was promised that special veb-page, devoted to this young singer, would be available in «Voice of Asia» server in coming soon.
