«Azia Dauysy»-90
It introduced itself confidently and powerfully at once. The performers from 15 states from all over the world came to «Medeu» that time. The participants represented such a palette of styles, trends and national cultures that a necessity and timeliness of the contest was obvious and indisputable.
The guests of the contest are Igor Nicolaev and Natasha Koroleva, Janna Aguzarova and «Bravo» band, Philipp Kirkorov and etc.
Approximately more than 200 journalists from around the world watched the contest and reported on it. There were top music industry professionals in the International Jury panel, including Mr. Joe Boyde and Peter Jhenner.

The construction of the stage was improved. Now the show part of “Azia Dauysy” stepped up on a new level of quality. An interest towards the contest grows. The leading TV and radio companies and publishing houses of France, Turkey, Great Britain, China, USA, Germany etc. follow the Festival. The contestants presented 19 states of the world. The guests are Aziza, Thomas Anders, Irina Ponarovskaya, Soso Pavliashvili, «Yalla» band, Olga Kormuhina.

More and more countries send their participants here - the contest's awards are really prestigious. The stage itself became prestigious, national and foreign top singers aspire to perform on it. Vladimir Presnyakov, Alexandr Serov, «Space» band, Patricia Kaas, Zhenya Belousoff, Tamara Gverdtsiteli, «Bravo» band, Murat Nasyrov, Marina Khlebnikova and Philipp Kirkorov again - are the guests.
The contestants demonstrate a high class professionalism, musicians turn to music of another people, Korean people sing in Kazakh, German people sing in Turkish, Uzbek people sing in Arabic.
      
«Azia Dauysy»-93
«Azia Dauysy» is a member of FIDOF. 25 entrants compete for the awards at that time. A lot of them submitted their entries for a number of years before they appeared on the stage for the first time - the contest has a high requirements. It has a good reputation. It has its own way in music. It was advised many times that the Contest should change its concept and become either pure folk or pop, but its organizers were confident: there is «the golden core», and only the most talented and creative people can sense it.
The guests: «Boney M», Gloria Gaynor, Pupo, Valeri Leontyev, Natalia Vetlizhkay, Sergey Krylov.

       
«Azia Dauysy»-94
«Azia Dauysy» is already well known in Cannes at MIDEM - global music market. The contest celebrated its jubilee- 5 years. There was a unique TV bridge between the audience present at the «Medeu» stadium and spaceship, on a board of which there was Russia-Kazakhstan crew. Well, on the earth «Yalla» band, Al Bano and Romina Power, Layma Viakula, Dmitry Malicov, Larisa Dolina, Haddaway cheered up the Festival.
    
«Azia Dauysy»-95
The year of Abai's 150th Anniversary and one of the contest's days was devoted to the great writer. Abai's songs are sung in Kazakh, Russian, Ukrainian, Chinese languages.
The contest was all-continental that time: only Antarctic did not present its performers.
«Azia Dauysy», in Murat Irgaliev's name, was awarded with FIDOF honorable award - «for the notable endowment in cultural development».
Guests: Toto Cutugno, Jimmy Somerville, «Ten sharp» band, Vlad Stashevsky, Layma Viakule, «A-studio» band, Kirkirov at third times, Christina Orbakaite and Alla Pugacheva.

       
«Azia Dauysy» -96
This time it is not a contest like before, but festival in the frames of which the Contemporary Kazakhstan Song Contest took place. 25 well-known songs performed by the most famous singers of the state, competed for the awards. Makpal Junusova won the President' prize. One more competition was held-«The Queen of Azia Dauysy». Malaysia's singer Erra Fazira became the «Queen of Azia Dauysy». As a special event went a celebration of our culture' legend singer Roza Baglanova. During those days “Aya” firm had the large scale festival of fireworks. The Star-guests were: «Baccara» band, «East 17» band, Leonid Agutin, Angelica Varum, «Kabare-duetto Academy», Irina Allegrova, Mithun Chakravorty and etc.

«Azia Dauysy»-97
The festival took place in the Summer Theatre of the City Park, however a nostalgia for «Medeu» did not affect the celebration.
Moreover during the 32nd Assembly General of International Federation of Festival Organization - F.I.D.O.F. - in Cannes there was a decision taken to declare «Azia Dauysy» as «The festival of the Year 1997». FIDOF also presented the Festival with «Mass Media - Ring of Friendship” award. This award meant that «Azia Dauysy» attracted huge attention of all journalists and was in the centre of the news and made TV and radio head lines.
The Jury of the 2nd Contest of Contemporary Kazakstan Song awarded the main prizes to Rosa Rymbaeva and Makpal Junusova. «Dos Mukasan» band was celebrated as a legend of our stage. Guests: «Soultans» band, Angelica Varum, Anastasia, «Lube» band, Corona, «Gibson Brothers» band, Sofia Rotaru, «Ivanushky International» band.

     
“Azia Dauysy”-98 is bringing back a celebration with great joy to “Medeu”. 18 participants from 17 states of the world competed for the awards, at the first time Europe won the Grand Prix in Luca Sepe' name from Italy. The third Contemporary song of Kazakhstan Contest imposed by performences of B. Isaev, N. Yeskaliyeva, B. Tailakbayev, “ABK” band and others... This time Yermek Serkebaev was celebrated as a legend of Kazakhstan art again. The festival guests-stars were - Leonid Agutin, Patricia Kaas, “Mumiy troll” band, “N-trance” band, “La Bouche”, Linda, Andrey Gubin, Masha Rasputina, Peter Andre, Barych Mancho, Philipp Kirkorov, and as well there were the last year laureates “AB 3” trio (Indonesia), Darren Holden (Ireland), Svetlana Slavkovich (Yugoslavia), Sebnem Ozsaran (Turkey) as the honour guests of festival. There was another pleasent moment. Mass media of Kazakhstan was nominated as to be the best covering on festival movement at the 32nd Annual Assembly of FIDOF in 1998. In connection with it Mr. Nurettin Soydan, a founder of Turkish Journalist Accosiation handed solemnly over transfer of FIDOF's Golden Ring of Friendship to the “Voice of Asia” press centre in one of festival days.

“Azia Dauysy”-99
Festival - 10 years. An unsettled weather caused to remove from the “Medeu” mountain stadium to city’s central park. There were some large scale events in the frame of jubilee-event:
  • 4 Contemporary song of Kazakhstan contest;
  • “Fashion-2000” young designers contest;
  • 1 child art festival;
  • “Asian paintings” exhibition.
20 solo singers and 1 band participated in the major competition - in solo international contest. The presented 18 states from around the global.

Guest stars were as follows - No Mercy, Coolio, Bad Boys Blue, Premier - Minister, Valeria, Shao? Bao!, Duna, Tet-a-tet, Valery Meladze, Vladimir Kuzmin, Alexander Malinin, Alexander Buynov.
 
“Azia Dauysy”-2000
23 professional singers from 21 countries of the world competed in International Performers Contest. This time Bibigul Tulegenova, People's artist of the USSR, called "Kazakh Nightingale", was celebrated as the Legend of Kazakhstani Art. V Contemporary Kazakhstan Song Contest selected 7 Best songs of 2000. Second time were held: Children's Fine Art festival and Yong Designers' Competition "XXI century". The guest stars were: Alexander Marshal, ATB, Phats & Small, Dj. Mendez, Afric Simone, Touche etc.

“Azia Dauysy”-2001 With the whole republic "Voice of Asia" celebrated 10 year of independence of Kazakhstan. The special concert program was devoted for this holiday. The International contest had 16 contestants from 14 countries and Cyprus and Sri-Lanka were presented first time. The stars of Kazakhstani stage and former contestants of "Zhas Kanat" and his colleagues celebrated the 50th year Jubilee of Alexander Sergeevich. It was one of the interesting show at the festival. Also, there was held Children's Fine Art festival, Fashion show, Festival of flowers and the VI Contest of Kazakhstani modern song. 7 best Kazakhstani songs were awarded by traditional prizes "Altyn dombyra" and were deigned special premiums of the President of Kazakhstan.
