Island of "Voice of Asia". Where contest is taking place

Festival is not only an obligatory program. And it is held not only on the scene. In one of the most beautiful places of Almaty – on the crossroads of Abay and Dostyk avenues- peculiar triangle is situated, with hotel “Kazakhstan”, entertainment center “Arman” and the Palace of Republic forming it. Exactly here, on this marvelous island of the South Capital – 13^th International festival “Asia Dauysy” will be held.

The Palace of Republic. Here will take place the main event – festival. For the first time in the history of “Asia Dauysy” –the best festival of the country will be held in one of the best concert halls of the South Capital. At the moment in the Palace repair is made at full speed. “About the fact that the festival will be held in the Palace of Republic we were told only a month before the start of the festival…”- complains Hasen Smagulov, director of the Palace of Republic. Nevertheless, he is sure that during the time remained until the festival starts the Palace will be prepared for it. At least, for spectators, competitors and invited guests they will try to prepare everything. Now in the hall of this building floor covering is changed. The scene will be closed with special material. Especially for competitors 8 make-up rooms will be equipped. As for the exacting guests of the festival, they will be offered VIP –make-up rooms, where besides of tables, chairs and special illumination, will be carpets and shower. During the performance of competitors, those who’s turn has not come yet, will be given possibility to walk about the Palace – to sit in bar, to walk in foyer. Though usually, when you are just at the moment to be asked to come onto the stage, excitement is so strong that artists will not feel like observing surroundings. Almost all of them are gathering behind the scene. Those who has already performed, are estimating performance of other contestants. Who is about to perform – collect their thoughts before going to the scene. The jury, that during the performance will be in the hall, will give its verdict in so called “ governmental hall”. It can be supposed that judges of the contestants will be made comfortable there.

As for the comfort of spectators, in their disposal(besides the hall, of course) will be spacious double floor foyer with bar. And there will not be any stuffiness in the hall – at present moment repair of the unique air conditioning system is made, this system was constructed during the Soviet times by order of D.A. Kunaev. It is whole underground complex, equipment in comparison to modern one’s is too cumbersome, but for the installation of new split-systems, as usual, there is no money. Director of the Palace of Republic sure, that this technique will help spectators to enjoy not only the music but also coolness.

The hall can accommodate 3 thousand spectators at one time. During the performance, as usual, video shooting will be held, but TV men will not interfere with public as TV cameras will be placed in the passage between raw.

Performance of competitors will start at 19-00. Please buy tickets beforehand!

 

Entertainment complex “Arman”. After the completion of each festival day, holiday will be transferred here. This huge entertainment complex in the past was the biggest cinema of the country. “Arman” is unique among the similar establishments in Almaty – it contains two cinema halls, disco, play apparatuses, 6 bars, two halls for VIP persons. Here press conference and draw will be held. But the main thing is that here Art-club will be opened- like an integral part of the festival. Until now this fact was concealed from the public. Art-club – is a place where after termination of official program contestants and … every man show himself/herself –sing, dance – at such a small improvised concert.

Atmosphere of Art Club cannot be expressed by words – yesterday’s rivals are singing in duet, discos are passing with love music, romantic acquaintances are occurring.

Hotel “Kazakhstan”. In this one of the biggest hotel of the South Capital, which is considered to be the symbol of Almaty, contestants and guests will live. “Kazakhstan” is still the biggest building in Almaty. The highest restaurant “Cosmos” is situated here at the last 26^th floor. In this restaurant contestants and guests will have breakfast. Appartments for them were not specially prepared, administration of the hotel is sure that everything already fit highest international standarts.
