This year monetary premiums and statues “Altyn Dombyra’ will be handed to the winners of the competition of Contemporary Song of Kazakhstan by Bekbolat Tleukhan, chairman of cultural, information and social agreement (consent) committee in RK.

Possessors of this prestigious premium are Makpal Zhunusova, Rosa Rymbaeva and Nagima Eskalieva. After all, sponsors founded monetary premiums to the winners. This year former tradition revives again- on the seventh competition of Contemporary Song of Kazakhstan finalists will receive presidential premium- for these purposes monetary funds are picked out from the state budget.

Competition of young performers “Zhas Kanat” brought out new faces, opened new names, but later it was obvious that they have weak and monotonous repertoire. There was need for work and further improvements of quality of beginning composers, musicians and poets. At that time idea of creation of the competition of Contemporary Kazakhstani Songs in frame of “Voice of Asia” festival born out - says Arystanbek Alyev says- and it, indeed, approved its goals. However, at this point, when we have quality, as well as quantity, the competition should work out its own style.”
