He is a graduate of the Russian Music Academy named after Gnesins, vocals division.  Still in USSR, he became the winner of the «Through the Life with a Song»-85 all-union contest. Has received an award of the Kazakh song contest within the «Azia Dauysy»-98 festival, the special prize of the International Maltese festival, the first prize of  the «Discovery» international contest in Bulgaria and other awards. He has the title of the Distinguished Artist of the Republic of Kazakhstan, is a soloist of the Almaty Philharmonic and the Director of the «Talent» producers center.
